Summer Quest is a celebration of reading and learning that takes place in Delaware County Libraries during the summer months. As part of Summer Quest, our libraries partner with the Collaborative Summer Library Program to promote a unique and interesting theme for summer activities. This year’s theme is Adventure Begins at Your Library.
Our 28 local libraries will be offering all types of programs to make this summer fun. County-wide programming that most libraries are participating in will include:
• County-wide Summer Quest Kick-off at Delaware County’s Juneteenth Celebration in Rose Tree Park– June 19th 5:30 pm
• Summer Quest Kick-off Programs at each library
• Journey Across Delco
• Beanstack online reading challenges
• Science in the Summer in partnership with the Franklin Institute and GSK

Summer Quest helps to decrease the summer slide and increase children’s enjoyment of reading, reading skills, and reading by choice, and to help them discover the wonder of the public library and all it has to offer.
