A community treasure since 1929, Swarthmore Public Library is a municipal public library in the tree-lined, residential community of Swarthmore with the highest per capita use of any library in the Delaware County Library System.
The mission of the Swarthmore Public Library is to serve the informational, educational and recreational needs of all segments of our community. Our collection of more than 56,000 items includes fiction, non-fiction, large print materials, periodicals and newspapers, movies, audio books, picture and new reader books, music CDs, and graphic novels. We also offer access to computers and online resources for library card holders.
The Library is dedicated to bringing our community together and so offers a wealth of programs for both adults and children. From collage workshops to comic book camp and round about to live music shows, we aim to be something like the community's living room. Stop by soon!
