Bookkeeper (Part-time)
Position Summary
Under the supervision
of the Library Director, the bookkeeper is responsible for recording
and maintaining the daily financial activity of the library, tax
records, and financial reports needed by the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
required. Associates degree in accounting preferred.
- Previous experience
in bookkeeping/accounting in an employment setting required,
experience in a nonprofit setting preferred.
- Must be proficient
in using QuickBooks Pro 2008 and Microsoft Excel 2007; experience
using Internet, Windows XP, and other Microsoft Office software
preferred.
- Requires strong
background in accounting principles/procedures and experience
with online banking and cash management, and online tax reporting.
- Requires excellent
communication/interpersonal and analytical thinking skills.
- Requires good organizational
skills and ability to keep accurate records, prepare reports
by established deadlines and prioritize workload effectively.
- Requires excellent
fine motor coordination, good visual skills, and ability to
sit, stand, bend, reach, walk, lift up to 30lbs.
- Library experience
a plus.
- Criminal history
and child abuse history clearances required.
Schedule
- Position available
immediately
- PT, 10 hrs/wk,
$13.50 per hour, negotiable schedule, no benefits
