Mission
Statement
The mission of the Delaware County Law Library is to provide access
to law-related information for the public, the Courts, and the County.
The Law Library is one of the main sources of legal information in the
County. The Law Library is an integral part of the Delaware County
Library System.
Services
The Law Library is a reference library and is not a substitute for obtaining
the legal services of an attorney.
What
We Can Do:
• Direct the public to sources of the law and forms
• Instruct in the use of legal materials, including Internet
research sites
• Locate informative materials

What We Cannot Do:
• Give legal advice
• Help or assist in selection of legal forms
• Give procedural information
• Telephone reference service |

marked "Reference" may not be circulated.

Only
Delaware County Bar members may borrow materials; after 48 hours,
a borrower will be charged an overdue fine of one dollar per day
per book.

Food
and beverages are not permitted in the library.

Patrons
are requested not to use their cell phones in the library.

The
use of typewriters and recording equipment in the library is not
permitted.

Patrons
are asked to re-shelve the materials that they use.

Loud
talking or lengthy whispered conversations are not permitted.
Attorney-client conferences are not encouraged.

The
use of laptop computers in the library is permitted.

Use
of the public computers is subject to the Delaware County Library
System Internet Policy.
