How
can I get a GrandKit?
Geared towards grandparents but available to everyone, GrandKits
can be borrowed for three weeks with your DCLS
library card. Simply go to your local library and ask
for a GrandKit. If that library does not have the GrandKit
theme you want, you can request a GrandKit from another
library to be sent to your local library. It usually takes
several days, and your local library will call you to pick
up your GrandKit when it arrives there.

What’s
the story behind GrandKits?
Thanks to a grant of $40,000 from the Institute of Museum
and Library Services as administered by the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, DCLS was able to compile 300 GrandKits
to send to its 28 member libraries in 2004.
For
more information about borrowing a GrandKit with your DCLS
library card, contact your
local library.
