Fall for a Book
Delaware County Reads
Flags of Our Fathers

Flags of Our Fathers coverDelaware County Council in conjunction with the Delaware County Library System (DCLS), and the Delaware County Community College will team up to promote a countywide reading project called "Fall for a Book" in Fall of 2007.

Based on a "One Book, One Community" model, all county residents are encouraged to read the same book and attend events based on its topics. The 2007 book selection is Flags of Our Fathers by James Bradley with Ron Powers.

The Fall for a Book Committee has developed a discussion guide for using Flags of Our Fathers in the classroom or with a book group. (PDF document) Additional information can be found on the DCCC web site

Funding provided by the Delaware County Library System and the Delaware County Community College with additional grants from the Pennsylvania Humanities Council and Neumann College
