Delaware County Libraries (DCL), with approval from Delaware County Council, has renewed our subscription to the eBook and audiobook service OverDrive. Delaware County residents can download eBooks and audiobooks for free using their library card.

OverDrive has been offered for free to DCL library card holders since 2007. Last year, there were 225,313 circulations of digital materials using OverDrive in the county. OverDrive

"On behalf of Delaware County Libraries and our hundreds of thousands of members, we are grateful for the continued support of Delaware County Council and their commitment to reading and literacy. Their willingness to renew the OverDrive contract and fund the purchase of eBooks and audiobooks is an example of the value they place on library services. OverDrive is a vital resource for our libraries to serve their patrons. With this service, our libraries can move into the digital age and provide eBooks and audiobooks free of charge to virtually any device, wherever their patron is, at any time," said Bittle.
