Information
Technology Specialist
Under
the direction of the DCLS Information Technology Coordinator,
assists in the coordination of computer use and technology
for the DCLS headquarters, 28 member libraries and other
locations. Emphasis on networking technologies.
Major
duties:
- Provides support
for users in all locations in the operation of the DCLS wide
area network and automated library system.
- Provides desktop
and end user support both via telephone and onsite
- Configures, installs
and troubleshoots network printers
- Responsible for
care and maintenance of computer equipment, including minor
repairs of DCLS owned equipment.
- Attends meetings,
workshops and other continuing education events; reads professional
journals to maintain knowledge of library and automation practices,
trends and developments.
Qualifications:
- 1-2
years experience working with microcomputers in a Windows 2000-2003
environment
- MCSE
certification desirable
- B.S.
or associate degree in computer related field preferred
- Ability
to communicate and educate non-technical staff and co-workers
- Valid
PA driver's license
- County
residency required.
Starting
Salary: $40,000 - $45,000, plus exceptional benefits including:
