The Library at Your Fingertips
April 3rd through 9th is National Library Week and Delaware County Libraries is celebrating in a big way-- by launching their new mobile app, DelcoReads. With the DelcoReads app, patrons will be able to search the catalog, place holds, manage their record, access databases, and utilize self-checkout (in participating locations).
Patrons can find out more about the app, along with links to download, at http://www.delcolibraries.org/Mobile-App. This webpage also contains demonstration videos of how to download and use the app. The DelcoReads app will be available in Google Play and the App Store beginning April 3rd.
Additionally, during National Library Week, patrons who download the DelcoReads app can also enter our DelcoReads National Library Week Sweepstakes to win tickets to a Philadelphia Union soccer game. No purchase is necessary and details can be found in the app and at http://www.delcolibraries.org/Sweepstakes-Terms-and-Conditions.
“We are very excited about the launch of our new app! Much of how we conduct our personal business is now on our phones through apps, and with the DelcoReads app, patrons will have the library at their fingertips,” said Catherine Bittle, Director of Delaware County Libraries. “We hope that all county residents will download the app and register for a library card if they do not already have one.”

National Library Week is celebrated annually and highlights the valuable role that libraries play in their communities. The first National Library Week was observed in 1958. The theme for National Library week 2022 is “Connect With Your Library.”
