Eligible items will now automatically renew!
You have plenty of things to worry about; renewing your library materials shouldn’t be one of them. That’s why we’re introducing Automatic Renewals. Beginning on September 1, eligible materials will automatically renew without you having to lift a finger.
Eligible items will automatically renew 3 days before their due date and will be renewed up to 3 times if not returned. Patrons whose email is on file will receive an email notice stating the new due date for their automatically renewed items. You can also find this information by logging into your record on our website, http://www.delcolibraries.org/. If you do not want your items to automatically renew, simply return them!
“We are pleased to be able to help our patrons save time and give them peace of mind by offering automatic renewals,” said Delaware County Libraries Director Catherine Bittle. “Auto renewal is the latest way we are making it easier than ever for county residents to use and enjoy our libraries.”
Not all items are eligible for automatic renewal. Some exceptions are items that have been requested by other patrons, items that have reached their maximum amount of renewals, and certain items such as museum passes, hotspots, and items borrowed from libraries outside of Delaware County through Interlibrary Loan.
