Congratulations to the Marple Public Library on becoming a Gold Level PA Forward Library! They are the first library in Delaware County to achieve the PA Forward Gold Star award. The library held a cake and ice cream celebration on August 9 to celebrate.

The PA Forward Star Library program awards libraries for reaching benchmarks within bronze, silver, and gold levels. Stars are awarded to libraries based upon their focus on the five literacies that make up PA Forward: Basic Literacy, Information Literacy, Civic and Social Literacy, Health Literacy, and Financial Literacy. The program offers support to libraries who strive to provide their communities with resources and programming in these five areas.
