Longwood Gardens Community Read

his winter and spring we join local libraries and community partners for the fifth year of Longwood Gardens Community Read! This year, we will explore women in horticulture. Longwood Gardens added a third book this year so that people of all ages can participate in Community Read. The three books this year are:
• Lab Girl by Hope Jahren, for adults and young adults.
• Women in Science by Rachel Ignotofsky, for middle-grade readers.
• The Tree Lady written by H. Joseph Hopkins and illustrated by Jill McElmurry, for children.

Participating Delaware County Libraries will hold programs over the next few months based on the Community Read books. Find both books at your local Delaware County library by clicking on the highlighted titles above. At each program, Longwood Gardens will donate free passes for those in attendance! For a full list of programs across the region click here.
