AP Images

The name is the publisher; the resource comprises a multidisciplinary collection of reference material for the general public and undergraduate students. Current events, consumerism, business, health, and literature are particular focus areas.

Greater Philadelphia Newspaper Collection
Includes the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Delaware County Daily Times, and a variety of local newspapers from the metropolitan area.

A Web-based, full-text newspaper database that allows users to search articles instantly by title, headline, date, newspaper section or other assigned fields. Search a collection of more than 1,000 newspapers, and customize screen appearance, search options and results format.

New York Times, Historical
The database covers The New York Times from its first issue in 1851 through 2003. To see a complete article, just click on the title in a list of search results, and the system displays the image of the full article. You can also access the complete image (in pdf format) of any page in any issue or even browse the database and scan individual issues page by page.

Pennsylvania Newspaper Collection
Includes the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Delaware County Daily Times, a variety of local newspapers from the metropolitan area, and important titles from other markets statewide.

1981-Current. Complete full-text content of local and regional news, including community events, schools, politics, government policies, cultural activities, local companies, state industries, and people in the community.

Philadelphia Inquirer Historical Archive
1860-1922. Includes some issues from the 1830s, 1840s, and 1850s. Primary source material detailing the expansion of the city of Philadelphia and the development of the western suburbs.

SIRS Discoverer
Includes full text articles and images from over 1,600 domestic and international newspapers, magazines and government documents. Articles are assigned a reading level –Easy, Moderate or Challenging- based on age-appropriateness, educational content, interest and reading level.
