Relations and Grants Coordinator
JOB
SUMMARY:
Public
Relations: Promotes year-round visibility of the Delaware
County Library System and its member public libraries
through a comprehensive public relations and marketing
program, including the Internet, newspapers, magazines,
signage, brochures, publications, promotional materials,
and events. Advises member library staff in these areas.
Grants:
Researches, organizes, and writes grant proposals for
the Delaware County Library System. Advises member library
staff in grant-writing and fundraising. Assists with
the operation of the Delaware County Library Foundation.
Reports
to the DCLS Director.
Full
time position. Normally 35+ hours/week, 8:30 to 4:30.
Attend evening board meeting the first Thursday of every
month. Some evenings, and weekends, and early mornings
for events as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in business,
communications, or related field. Two years of experience
in public relations, marketing, fundraising, grants
administration, or related field, preferably with a
501(c)(3) organization.
Skills:
Creativity and problem-solving abilities. Superior communication
skills, both oral and written. Ability to function as
a team member. Computer skills, including word processing,
desktop publishing, and web design. Training experience.
Grant writing experience. Digital photography and computer
graphic design experience. Ability to work independently
and within a committee structure.
County
residency required.
Starting
Salary $35,000 - $40,000, plus exceptional benefits
including: vacation, 15 holidays, full health insurance
with option for full dependent coverage, retirement,
and life insurance.
